At this very moment East Africa is experiencing the worst hunger crisis that it has seen decades. As the media focuses on other issues, the situation in East Africa only worsens.
The relief organization UNICEF stated in their September 2011 press release that in Somalia alone 450,000 children under the age of five are malnourished, and 190,000 of those are in life-threatening condition.
